Russell executives dropped an over-sized 16-foot shovel from 80 feet in the air Wednesday afternoon to break ground on the company's new corporate headquarters.
The local construction and real estate firm is building a new 22,500-square-foot headquarters, around 375 feet away from its current office in the Birchwood Fields Office Park in Davenport. Publisher Lee Enterprises, the parent company of the Quad-City Times, will move into the former headquarters building, at 4600 E. 53rd St., next summer.
